Hi There!
I’m Ekta, the artist behind The Creative Hut. I create original art and prints, but believe that art should extend beyond what you put up on your walls. The Creative Hut creates carefully designed lifestyle products that are beautiful and luxurious to celebrate life’s little moments and turn them from ordinary to extraordinary.Each product begins as an original watercolor painting, which then gets digitised and designed to appear on different products.
My art draws inspiration from the 7 different places I’ve called home. My work is characterised by happy, bold colors and feel good elements that often have a touch of whimsy! I’m currently very inspired by Singapore’s rich and colorful flora and fauna. Tropical botanicals have my heart and you’ll often see them in my work.
My slam book in middle school said “My dream is to create art when I grow up”. I’m now living that dream! Somewhere in between I went to college and studied Graphic Design in the US, and worked in Corporate America. I left both these things behind, but little did I know that I would revisit my Graphic Design past in designing products for my brand. I hope their creativity and fun designs uplift you and add positivity to your everyday life!
Our Philosophy
The Creative Hut designs and produces the products that we’ve been looking for in Singapore but just couldn’t find. Our products are timeless and are inspired by our environment and natural materials. Each of our designs has a story to tell and we hope you enjoy the journey. We are also environmentally conscious, reduce the use of plastic in our packaging, and use recycled paper when possible.
